E&P Land & Lease Acquisition

Give Us the AOI. We'll Surface What's Open.

AI-assisted mineral and leasehold title at a fraction of conventional turnaround time. Experienced landmen review the ownership, identify who needs to be leased and carry the program through outreach, negotiation and lease acquisition.

Operator scale

Title Capacity Without the Headcount.

Deploy title capacity across large AOIs.

Operators do not need to staff a temporary land team to manually search thousands of instruments. SLS uses AI-assisted title workflows for high-volume research, while experienced landmen review the work, apply judgment and execute the lease acquisition.

From acreage to ownership to executed leases. One accountable team.

Built to scale across large AOIs.

SLS can deploy multiple AI-assisted title workflows simultaneously across large acquisition and leasing programs, dramatically increasing title capacity and reducing the time between identifying a prospect and getting an offer in front of the mineral owner.

All final ownership work is reviewed by experienced land and title professionals before SLS acts on it.

Conventional Model

  1. Staff a land team.
  2. Run title tract by tract.
  3. Wait for ownership.
  4. Identify open acreage.
  5. Begin outreach.
  6. Start leasing.

SLS Model

  1. Give us the AOI.
  2. Deploy title capacity immediately.
  3. Surface ownership and open acreage faster.
  4. Review with experienced landmen.
  5. Begin outreach.
  6. Acquire leases.
From target to transaction

A buy box should produce opportunities, not another raw owner list.

Give us the counties, operators, formations, development profile, minimum ownership criteria or other acquisition parameters that matter to you.

SLS can identify prospective opportunities, run the ownership, determine net mineral acreage where possible, identify title and curative issues, locate the owners who matter and support the outreach and acquisition process.

The objective is to shorten the distance between defining an acquisition target and getting a credible offer in front of the right mineral owner.

Two ways to work with SLS

Standard Fee Structure

Clients may engage Sykes Land Services for title, acquisition research, landowner outreach, negotiation and related land services under traditional project, per-tract or customized fee structures.

Ownership Report pricing starts at $1,000 per tract.

Straightforward, standard and complex work is priced by scope. Large AOI, multi-tract and leasing programs are custom scoped and are not priced by simply multiplying a per-tract starting fee.

What counts as a tract?

A tract is not necessarily a section. One section can contain multiple ownership tracts requiring separate chains of title.

Aligned Acquisition Structure

On qualifying mineral acquisition programs, Sykes Land Services may consider investing its own title, research and land resources into selected opportunities in exchange for aligned transaction economics or a participation interest when an acquisition closes.

Not every project qualifies. The structure, investment and compensation are evaluated based on the opportunity, required work and acquisition economics.

SLS Title Intelligence

Technology Accelerated. Landman Reviewed.

SLS uses proprietary technology and AI-assisted workflows to increase title and ownership research capacity, but technology does not replace professional judgment.

Ownership Reports and acquisition work products are reviewed by experienced land and title personnel before delivery. Complex title, leasehold, production, heirship and curative situations are escalated for human review.
